Hall
The Historic Horner & Linden Hall
Approaching its 100th anniversary, the Horner & Linden Hall is the stunning centrepiece of the Ferny Creek Recreation Reserve. Originally built in the 1920s as a vibrant 'Palais de Danse', this large community hall is a popular venue for weddings, corporate or milestone functions, and memorial services.
With a generous capacity of up to 200 guests, the hall provides a beautiful, adaptable, and historic backdrop and is available to hire from 9:00 AM to 1:00 AM for functions.
The Hall is equipped with:
Trestle tables and chairs for large groups.
Ducted heating to keep your guests comfortable year-round.
Toilets, including a dedicated disabled toilet.
A disabled ramped entrance easily accessible directly from a disabled parking space.
Large double doors that open out to the serene, protected bushland of the Reserve.
A fully-equipped kitchen and servery containing:
Refrigerator.
Electric urns.
Oven and stove top.
Pie warmer.
Microwave.
(Please note: Crockery, cutlery, and napery are not provided).

Log Cabin
The Historic Log Cabin
Celebrate your next family event in our historic, 100-year-old Log Cabin! Nestled in a picturesque setting right alongside the children’s playground, this charming single-room cabin is a local favourite for kids' birthday parties and intimate family gatherings.
Cabin Features & Amenities:
Large Stone Fireplace: A stunning centrepiece that is incredibly popular for creating a cozy atmosphere during the colder months. (Please note: This is the cabin's only source of heating, and hirers must supply their own firewood).
Furniture Provided: Includes 15 chairs, 3 trestle tables, and rustic built-in bench seating.
Basic Kitchen Facilities: Equipped with a cold-water sink and a small urn for making tea and coffee.
Power: 1 electrical power outlet is available for your convenience.
Additional Information: Public toilets are conveniently located just a very short walk from the cabin.
Availability: For health and safety reasons, the heritage-listed Log Cabin is available for daytime hire only, between
9:00 AM and 6:00 PM (extended to
7:00 PM during daylight savings).

Nestled right in the heart of the Ferny Creek Recreation Reserve, this beautiful, self-contained heritage building boasts picturesque views directly overlooking the children's playground, making it an absolute dream for family events where parents want to relax while keeping an eye on the kids.
The Cottage has been lovingly restored to highlight its 1920s heritage details, including beautifully sanded floorboards, while being updated with brand-new heating, a convenient kitchenette, and a private internal toilet to keep your guests completely comfortable year-round.

Visiting Hours: The Reserve warmly welcomes the public seven days a week, starting at 7:00 AM.
Please be mindful that for security purposes, the main vehicle entry gates are locked daily at sunset.
